Niyyah: "I am offering 2 rakaat salat for the first day of the month, Sunnat
Qurbatan Ilallah."
Method: First rakaat: After Sura Al Fatihah recite Sura Al Ikhlaas (Sura 112) 30
times. Second rakaat: After Sura Al Fatihah recite Sura Al Qadr (Sura 97) 30 times.

Tip: AQAIN = A - Al Fatiha Q - Qul Huwallahu Ahad
A - Al Fatiha IN - Inna Anzalnahu Fii Laylatul Qadr

On completing the salat recite the following verses once:

وَ َ ِ ْ دَا ِ ا َرْضِ إِ ََ ا ِ ِ ِْ ا ِ ا ْ ِ ا
ِ وَ ُ َْ ْدَ ََ آُ ِ آِ بٍ ُِ ٍ رِزَُْ وَ َ َُْ ُ ََْ هَ

BISMILLAHIR RAHMANIR RAHEEM.
WA MAA MIN DAABBATIN FIL ARDHI ILLAA ‘ALALLAAHI RIZQUHA
WA YA'LAMU MUSTAQARRAHAA WA MUSTAWDA'AHAA KULLUN
FII KITAABIM MUBEEN.

In the Name Of Allah the All Beneficent, the All Merciful.
There is no animal on the earth, but that its sustenance lies with Allah,
and He knows its (enduring) abode and its temporary place of lodging.
Everything is in a manifest book.
وَ إِنْ َ ْ َ ْ َ ا ُ ِ ُ َ آ ِ َ َُ ِ ِْ ا ِ ا ْ ِ ا ِ
ءُ إِنْ ُ ِدْكَ ِ َْ ٍ َ رَاد َِ ِِْ ُ ُ ِِ َ ْ َ إِ هُ َ وَ
ِ ْ ِ دِِ وَهُ َ اْ َُ رُ ا ِ ُ

BISMILLAHIR RAHMANIR RAHEEM.
WA IY-YAMSASKALLAAHU BIDHURRIN FALAA KAASHIFA LAHU
ILLAA HUWA WA IY-YURIDKA BIKHAYRIN FALAA RAADDA
LIFADHLIHI YUSEEBU BIHI MAY-YASHAAU MIN 'IBAADIHI WA
HUWAL GHAFOORUR RAHEEM.

In the Name Of Allah the All Beneficent, the All Merciful.
Should Allah visit you with some distress, there is no one to remove
it except Him; and should He desire any good for you, none can
stand in the way of His Grace. He grants it to whomever He wishes
of His servants, and He is the All Forgiving, the All Merciful.

One of the aamals recommended for the first day of the lunar month is performing
2 rakaat salat, reciting verses from the Quran and giving sadaqah.
َ ءَ ََ ْ َ ُ ا ُ َ َْ ُ ْ ٍ ُ ْ اً ِ ِْ ا ِ ا ْ ِ ا ِ وَ أَُضُ أَ ْ ى وَ ِ َْ اْ َآ ُ َ َُْ ا ُ ا ُ ُ ةَ إِ ّ ِ ِ
َ إِ ٰـَ إَِّ أَْ َ ُْ َ َ إِّ آُْ َ إَِ ا ِِ إِن ا َ َ ٌ ِ ْ ِ دِ
رَب إِ ِ أَْ َْ َ إَِ ِ ْ َْ ٍ َ ٌ رَب ِ ْ ا ّ ِ َ
ـََرِْ َ ْداً وَ أَْ َ َْ ُ اْ ارِ َ


BISMILLAHIR RAHMANIR RAHEEM.
SAYAJ'ALULLAAHU BA'DA 'USRIY YUSRA.
MAASHAA'ALLAAHU LAA QUWWATA ILLAA BILLAAH.
HASBUNALLAAHU WA NI'MAL WAKEEL. WA UFAWWIDHU
'AMRI ILALLAAHI INNALLAAHA BASEERUM BIL 'IBAAD. LAA
ILAAHA ILLAA ANTA SUBHAANAKA INNI KUNTU MINADH
DHAALIMEEN. RABBI INNI LIMAA ANZALTA ILLAYYA MIN
KHAYRIN FAQEER. RABBI LAA TADHARNI FARDAW WA ANTA
KHAYRUL WAARITHEEN.

In the Name Of Allah the All Beneficent, the All Merciful.
Allah will bring about ease after hardship. Whatever Allah wills
happens. There is no strength except with Allah.
Allah is sufficient for us and He is an excellent Trustee.
And I entrust my affair to Allah. Indeed Allah sees best the
servants. There is no god except You! You are immaculate! I
have indeed been among the wrongdoers. My Lord! I am
indeed in need of any good You may send down to me. My
Lord! Do not leave me without an heir, and You are the best of
inheritors.

It is recommended to give sadaqah after the salah.

BENEFIT
One who performs these aamals has purchased for that month
safety from Allah SWT.
