This Salat was highly recommended to Imam J’afar Al Sadiq [A.S.] by his father Imam Muhammad Al-Baqir [A.S.] as carrying great reward.
A person who recites this prayer will share the "thawab" (reward) of those who have gone for Hajj.

This Salat consists of 2 rakats, to be recited between Maghrib and Isha salat of the first 10 nights of Dhul Hijjah i.e. from 1st Dhul Hijjah to 10th Dhul Hijjah.

Niyyah: “I am offering 2 rakat Salat of ten nights of Dhul Hijjah, Qurbatan Ilallah.”

In every rakat, recite Sura al-Fatihah and Sura al-Ikhlaas followed by this ayah once: (Sura Al A’araf 7:142)

وَوَاعَدْنَا مُوسَى ثَلاَثِينَ لَيْلَةً وَأَتْمَمْنَاهَا بِعَشْرٍ فَتَمَّ مِيقَاتُ رَبِّهِ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً وَقَالَ مُوسَى لأَخِيهِ هَارُونَ اخْلُفْنِي فِي قَوْمِي وَأَصْلِحْ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ

WA WAA-'ADNAA MOOSA THALAATHINA LAYLATAN'W WA ATMAMNAAHAA BI-'ASHRIN FATAMMA MIQAATU RABBIHI ARBA-'INA LAYLAH

WA QAALA MOOSAA LI- AKHIHI HAAROONAKH-LUFNEE FI QAWMI WA
AS-LIH WA LAA TATTABI' SABEELAL MUFSIDEEN

"And We appointed for Musa thirty nights, and completed (the period) with ten more; thus he completed the whole time appointed by his Lord of forty nights. And Musa said to his brother Harun: Take my place (Act for me) among the people. Do right, and do not follow the way of those who do mischief.”

Complete the prayer with Tashahud and Salaam.
