Emotional wellbeing for children: Empowering the mind workshops

Emotional wellbeing for children is a priority for all parents. In an age where mental health has become a pressing concern, communication is the foundation of cultivating the right mind set in our children.
How can one empower a child’s mind set?
Madrasah has invited Mrs Sukaina Mukhtar to conduct an interactive workshop on Sunday 15th March, 2020. It will be held from 10:00 a.m – 12:00 noon at al Mahdi Centre.
Sukainabai is a graduate in Philosophy BA, Professional teacher, English Tutor, Speaker and Author of a set of 5 books on Emotional Intelligence to help parents implement tools for cultivating the right mindset in children.

The workshop is about empowering a child’s mindset, reducing mental health concerns and cultivating preventative methods. It will cover the following areas:
- Importance of wellbeing: Mindfulness /Reflection
- Life’s challenges and work: Resilience
- Importance of emotions, Managing emotions /Anxiety
- Social skills, Problem solving
All parents / Teachers are encouraged to attend this workshop. The aim is to enable you to practice the skills in order to implement them at home and in Madrasah.
Non-Madrasah volunteers interested to attend are requested to contribute £10.00 towards the costs of the workshop. For all Madrasah volunteers: FREE
Your attendance will motivate you to support the Madrasah and our children towards improving their Akhlaq, social skills and focus. Thus, resulting in reducing the pressure on teachers at school /Madrasah and at home.
For ease of facilitation of the workshop there are only 25 spaces available.
