Salamun alaykum,
Did you miss Laylatul Qadr?
Traditions narrate that for those who were not able to achieve their purpose
and goal (acceptance of Hajat) in Laylatul Qadr – the night of Qadr - or
those who were not forgiven on that day, then there is another occasion to
realize that. The last opportunity for them is Yawmul ‘Arafah -the day of
‘Arafah; the 9 th of Dhulhijjah.
This implies that the Yawmul ‘Arafah in its blessedness, sacredness and
sanctity is placed the same as Laylatul Qadr.
Did you know?
Unlike Laylatul Qadr whose exact date is unknown the date for Arafah is
known. It’s the 9 th Dhulhijjah. If there is a day like Laylatul Qadr that can
change your life, then it is Yawmul ‘Arafah.
Yawmul ‘Arafah:
Tomorrow Friday 6 th June, 2025 is Yawmul ‘Arafah in our region. This day
is one of the most blessed days. Although it has not been named as day of
Eid, this day is one of the great days of Eid.
What occurs?
It is a day on which Allah al Ghafoor- the Most Forgiving- extends abundant
forgiveness to His slaves. Allah SWT calls His servants to His taa’ah -
obedience- and ibadah- to serve Him. The Divine Grace and Bounties are
abundantly spread. A day when mercy of Allah SWT descends in abundance,
sins are forgiven and duas accepted. On this day Shaytan is more debased,
disgraced, furious and repulsed than on other days.
It is the day when Allah SWT expresses His pride on His slaves to the
Angels. Imam Ja’far Sadiq a.s. explains that in the closing hours of the day
of ‘Arafah, Allah SWT informs His angels to bear witness that He is obliged to
respond to the supplications- duas - of the good doers, accept their deeds
and forgive them.
What to do on the day?
The day of ‘Arafah is highly recommended for seeking ones hajat-desires-
from Allah SWT. Various prayers and supplications from the Ahlul Bayt a.s.
5 th June, 2025
Issue No: 469 8 th Dhulhijjah, 1446 A.H.
have been recommended to perform on the day. Fasting is recommended for
a person who is not so weakened by it as not to be able to recite the
supplications of the day of ‘Arafah.
Whom will you beg from?
It is reported that, on the day of ‘Arafah, our 4 th Imam Ali Zaynul Abidin a.s.,
heard the voice of a person begging from the people around him. The
beggar was asking for his needs from the people. The Imam turned to him
and said, “Shame on you! Are you begging from other than Allah on this
day? Even for the baby in the mother’s womb, there is the hope that mercy
of Allah is with it and that it will become virtuous.”
What will you ask?
This day is highly recommended for seeking one’s desires from Allah SWT.
Remember to pray for the parents, family, the faithful, all Maraji Taqlid,
Ulama, our leaders, the sick ones, neighbours, community, departed souls,
the Ummah, the captives, the oppressed people suffering due to conflict
around the world and for all supplicants to have Divine responses to their
hajat. Make special dua for faraj; Divine relief.
We fervently beseech: Ya Allah accept our good and forgive all our
shortcomings. Ameen.
I urge you to devotedly beseech Allah SWT to rid humanity of the oppressors
and terrorists and to hasten the dhuhur –reappearance- of the awaited
Master of our age (A.F.). Remember to dispatch your hajat with plenty of
salawat.
How will your day be?
Will your programme be just like any other of your normal routine
days of the week?
Will you find some time to take advantage of this great only one day
bargain offers from our Most Beneficent and Merciful Creator?
Will you make effort to presenting your hajat and benefit from this
wide-open door of Divine Mercy?
Will you devotedly offer shukr and hamd -thanksgiving and praise- to
Allah SWT?
Will you offer sadaqah?
Will you increasingly invoke salawat upon our Noble Prophet and his
Ahlul Bayt?
Let's all do as many of these things as possible to earn the pleasure and
forgiveness of Allah. Therefore, on this day can you make it a different
day?
Request you to kindly remember me and my family in your duas. Iltimase
dua.
Wa ma tawfiqi illa billah.
